Read along and feel free to come along to the discussion and chat and help choose the next book to read.
New members always welcome
Very positive reviews for this month book with everyone saying they enjoyed it and agreeing its charming. Overall, the book is a metaphor for the highs and lows of life, through his walk Harold gains a lot of self awareness and really grows as a person and is able to process some of the emotions and trauma he has suffered. Some people felt there was a lull in the middle, while others disagreed and said the book had a good rhythm, but most agreed it was engaging. There were parts that felt a bit unbelievable, while other areas, like the relationship between the husband and wife were very well observed and it was refreshing to have a man working hard for a women when it wasnt for a romatic relationship. Many people liked the side characters that popped up and felt it was a window into peoples lives and it also highlights how people come in and out of your life but can play a poignant role. A lot of people were effected by the dog and felt sad when he left on the bus. Some people said they would like to read the next book in the series.
